Purpose of the Role:

The primary purpose of the KAC role will be:

  • To coordinate day to day management of administrative systems related to education outside the classroom.
  • To be involved in program design, implementation, risk assessment & evaluation, as well as risk management, teaching skills, and administrative responsibilities.
  • To collaborate with the Head of School, Head of PYP and Programme coordinators to plan and organise various activities & experiences outside the classroom.
  • To contribute to web content, publications and information materials as per the communication policy of the school.
  • To collaborate with programme/activity coordinators for the taught, written and assessed curriculum.

Major events

1.     Support Head of School, Head of PYP and Programme Coordinators in conceptualizing the event.

2.     Take complete responsibility of all aspects related to conducting the events, including (but not limited to) mentoring activity teachers, selection and training of students, smooth conduct of practice sessions and dress rehearsals, draw up the duty list for the events and liaising with the Admin Team for procurements, etc.

Assemblies

1.     Ensure that all assemblies are well-planned and delivered smoothly.

2.     To draw up guidelines for assembly and circulate to all teachers.

3.     Draw up an assembly schedule before the academic year commences.

4.     Ensure that all assemblies are aligned with the school’s vision, mission, core values and the culture.

5.     Take complete responsibility of all aspects related to conducting the assemblies, including (but not limited to) mentoring activity and class teachers, smooth conduct of practice sessions and liaising with the Admin Team for procurements, etc.

Monthly event calendar

1.     Drawing up the monthly event calendar is the responsibility of the KAC. She/He has to ensure that it is ready by the 25th of the previous month.

2.     Ensure that there is little or no changes to planned monthly event calendar post finalization.

Inter-School & Inter-House events

1.     Liaise with other schools to ensure our students take part in inter-school events.

2.     Liaise with the academic team in selecting and training students to take part in inter-school events.

3.     Liaise with the admin team regarding the logistics involved to support our students take part in inter-school events.

4.     Plan and conduct inter-house events in collaboration with the Head of PYP, Programme Coordinators & House Masters.

5.     Finalize inter-house events schedule before the academic year commences.

Communication

 

1.     Ensure that communication regarding inter-school, inter-house, major events and assemblies are shared with all stakeholders in a timely manner.

2.     Share write-ups of all events (mentioned in the previous point) with the Marketing Team for social media posts.

Range of working hours and days

1.    240+ days in a year

2.    Working Saturdays as per school policy

3.     Daily working hours (as per school timings). However, she/he might be required to stay back during certain school days and report to school on some non-working Saturdays to prepare for events.

Technical Know-How: 

  1. Well versed with use of MS Office and other educational software, supporting the respective role.

  1. Take responsibility to research and work towards one’s own professional development and using the outcomes to improve existing practices.
  2. Adhere to the school’s decorum and code of conduct.
  3. Be proactive and self-driven. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
